1.8T Exhaust Products The Audi/VW 1.8T engine is a fixture in many vehicles between the two manufacturers. A 1.8L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine that comes in two configurations: Longitude and Transverse. The longitude engine is found in the Audi A4 and VW Passat. The transverse engine is found in the Jetta, Golf, GTI. The fact that the car is turbocharged allows room for exhaust modifications that make your engine breathe better & produce horsepower. The engine is fairly robust and can handle a bevy of modifications that include turbo swaps with K03, K04 and Garrett turbos. Fast Intentions makes a series of exhaust modifications that are designed to replace components that reside after the turbo & before the cat-back exhaust. The product line includes three components: High-flow catalytic converters (HFC), Testpipes and Downpipes. All components are made of Stainless Steel, welded from the inside, ported & polished for a smooth surface, and mandrel bent on-site at Fast Intentions. High-Flow Catalytic converters are made to bolt directly to K03 & K04 turbos. The HFC is a 400-cell Carsound converter that will pass emissions tests. They are built with laser-cut 3-bolt flanges and two oxygen sensor bungs for proper ECU readings. The inlet diameter of the HFC is 2.5” at the turbo. Testpipes are straight pipe replacements for HFC’s. These are designed for off-road & track use only. They are made in 2.5” & 3.0” diameters. We recommend using 2.5” diameter for all K03 & K04 applications. If using a testpipe, you will encounter a Check Engine Light (CEL) because the ECU does not see a difference in the exhaust readings recorded by the oxygen sensors once they are released from the turbo. We do not have a solution for eliminating the CEL at this time. If you encounter this, you will need to use a VAG-COM or other specific diagnostic software to clear any fault codes.
Downpipes are the transition pipe from the
HFC or testpipe to the cat-back exhaust system.
Downpipes are made in 2.5” diameter. All
downpipes have a bellows-style flex joint built
into it to accommodate some engine movement.
It is important to note that all downpipes from
Fast Intentions must be welded into
your existing cat-back exhaust system!
LaBree provides its clients with a small piece
of pipe with a 3-bolt flange that is meant to
be bolted onto the back of the DP & welded
into your system.

“The Shotgun”
The Shotgun is the latest innovation from Fast Intentions. This product is made specifically
for 1.8T Longitude engines that have undergone
Stage 3 turbo upgrades using Garrett GT series
turbos. Anyone that is using an APR, TurboByGarrett.com
or some sort of Garrett GT series turbo, this
testpipe is for you!
For this application, Fast Intentions used an application that helped them first launch in the import exhaust business…the 300ZX twin turbo. They used the flange & spacer from the 300ZX application to make the shotgun come to life for 1.8T Stg.3 applications.
The Shotgun bolts directly to your Garrett
GT series turbo. There are no adapters needed
to make your exhaust bolt to the shotgun. On
the split side of the shotgun is a Garrett GT
series turbo specific flange. The “handle”
side of the shotgun consists of a 3-bolt flange
that bolts directly to Fast Intentions, OEM
& aftermarket downpipes.
The Shotgun is the missing link needed to obtain “Tantrum-causing” performance for your 1.8T Stage 3 application!!!
