For those of you who are skeptical, take a moment to look at
the websites of other suppliers of downpipes for the Audi S4.
None of them have provided dyno charts with definitive gains to
show an increase with their products. Our question to you is,
“If you’re going to spend this type of money on a
product, don’t you want proof it works as advertised?”
We at TantrumWerks & Fast Intentions thought so too!
Note: “Open DP” on the 6-speed dyno
charts is used to describe a prototype downpipe that was created
& tested on the same car the split downpipes were tested on.
The Open DP was an open-mouth design with a mouth diameter of
3 inches. This pipe tapered down to a diameter of 2.5 inches through
the flex joint. Both downpipe configurations used 400-cell cats
by Car Sound Exhaust System, Inc. For reference, the charts show
HP & Tractive Effort, not Torque.
One more benefit to note - with the cats installed, you will
pass an emissions test if one is conducted on your vehicle.
